29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Except as provided by paragraph (a)(3) of this section, the employer did not ensure that each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems or fall restraint systems. This violation occurred on February 4, 2021, where at least four (4) employees working on installing the metal deck were exposed to falls of more than 20 feet to the ground below. No fall protection in place. C 3 Steel Solutions was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1414774, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on September 30, 2020, with respect to a workplace located at 5868 Old Jacksonville Highway, Tyler, Texas 75703.
