29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a. At the Standing Seam Building: On or about February 1, 2021, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to amputation hazards, in that the shear guard was not installed on a New Tech Machinery (NTM) brand, SSQII model, roll form roof panel machine, while employees performed roof panel manufacturing operations. b. At the Standing Seam Building: On or about February 1, 2021, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to amputation hazards, in that the shear guard was not installed on a New Tech Machinery (NTM) brand, SSH model (NTM #1), roll form roof panel machine, while employees performed roof panel manufacturing operations. c. At the Standing Seam Building: On or about February 1, 2021, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to amputation hazards, in that the shear guard was not installed on a New Tech Machinery (NTM) brand, SSH model (NTM #2), roll form roof panel machine, while employees performed roof panel manufacturing operations.
