29 CFR 1910.134(h)(2)(i):Respirators were not stored to protect them from damage, contamination, dust, sunlight, extreme temperatures, excessive moisture, and damaging chemicals or were not packed or stored to prevent deformation of the facepiece and exhalation valve: In the Sand Blaster Department, half mask respirators were stored by hanging them on objects in Sand Blaster #2, resulting in the masks being covered in dust on the inside and outside of the mask from the sand blasting operation. The masks were exposed to damage from the elements, potential damage to the exhalation valve, and deformation of the facepiece, exposing employees to respiratory hazards.
