Norfleet Road, Kansas City, Missouri- Battery charging area - A  pallet truck operator trainee sustained a serious injury on February 13, 2021 when her ankle was crushed between the bumper on Crown Walkie/Rider Pallet Truck and the metal rack  in the battery charging room.  The trainee was operating the end control pallet truck while standing on the floor with her feet and ankles between the bumper and the metal rack  where it could be crushed.  The employer had not implemented adequate safety procedures in the powered industrial truck training program.
