29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13):Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b). On or about February 23, 2021, on a residential construction site located on 232 Summer Sunrise Drive in Katy, TX, employees were exposed to a fall hazard greater than 6 feet when performing roofing work on the roof of a two-story house without the use a fall protection system. MARIO BARRAGAN WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13) WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 1176412, CITATION NUMBER 1, ITEM 1 AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON OCTOBER 27, 2016, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 11071 WALTS RUN LN., CYPRESS, TX 77433. 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1):Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed. On or about February 23, 2021, on a residential construction site located on 232 Summer Sunrise Drive in Katy, TX, employees were exposed to a fall hazard when using an extension ladder to access a roof without extending the ladder side rails at least three feet above the roof landing. MARIO BARRAGAN WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1) WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 1176412, CITATION NUMBER 1, ITEM 2 AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON OCTOBER 27, 2016, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 11071 WALTS RUN LN., CYPRESS, TX 77433.
