29 CFR 1910.151(c):Where the eyes or body of any person may be exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body shall be provided within the work area for immediate emergency use. Employees were exposed to potential hazards such as corneal burns when the area in which they were mixing paint and filling secondary containers was not equipped with an emergency eyewash station.

29 CFR 1910.178(a)(6):The user shall see that all nameplates and markings are in place and are maintained in a legible condition. On or about February 26, 2021, the company did not ensure that nameplates on the Hyster Tow Trucks were being maintained in a legible condition. Several of the nameplates were coated with paint overspray and were unreadable.

29 CFR 1910.178(p)(1):If at any time a powered industrial truck is found to be in need of repair, defective, or in any way unsafe, the truck shall be taken out of service until it has been restored to safe operating condition. Employees of Profile Finishing Systems, LLC were exposed to potential hazards associated with forklifts when a progressively worsening hydraulic leak on a Clark Model CGP30, LP Forklift was identified but not used to take the lift out of service.

29 CFR 1910.178(l)(1)(i):The employer shall ensure that each powered industrial truck operator is competent to operate a powered industrial truck safely, as demonstrated by the successful completion of the training and evaluation specified in this paragraph (l). On or about February 26, 2021, employees operating the Hyster Tow Trucks, to move carts of material throughout the facility, had not received training to ensure safe operation prior to being allowed to use the Tow Trucks.
