29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. location: lot 52-56, main roof on or about: 2/24/21 a) Employees were engaged in carpentry work, 9 feet above the loft roof. The employees were not provided with fall protection. location: lot 52-56, loft roof on or about: 2/24/21 b) Employees were engaged in carpentry work, 35 feet above the ground. The employees were not provided with adequate fall protection. NOTE: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the inspection casefile, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by 29 CFR 1903.19.
