29 CFR  1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:   (a) Rapid Manufacturing , Inc. at 911 1/2 South Main Street in Britton, SD 57430: On or about and at times prior to February 23, 2021, the employer did not ensure that employees operating the  Haas SL-30T 67450 were protected from struck-by hazards related to chips or filings (swarf), or caught-in hazards related to movement of machine components in that the door interlock on the CNC was not engaged during use. This condition exposed one employee to struck-by and caught-in hazards.  Abatement Note:  Abatement certification is required for this item (see enclosed "Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet").
