OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck-by hazards by table saw kick-back: a) 1000 Colliers Way, Weirton, WV: On or about 3/1/2021, the employer did not ensure employees were protected from struck-by hazards, in that the riving knife/spreader was not installed on a Ridgid R4513 table saw while rip-cutting. Among other methods, a feasible and acceptable means of abatement is to keeping riving knife, anti-kickback pawls, and blade guard in place and operating in accordance with the operator's manual.
