29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1):One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: (a) 1777 Aviation Way, Colorado Springs CO 80916: On or about March 10, 2021, and at times prior, employees were not protected from point of operation hazards and flying chips or sparks due to lack of adequate guarding on drill presses. The Chicago Power Tool drill press, Grizzley Industrial drill press, and Powermatic drill press did not have methods to guard employees from hazards during use.

29 CFR 1910.1052(d)(2):The employer did not perform initial monitoring to determine each employee's exposure to methylene chloride: (a) 1777 Aviation Way, Colorado Springs, CO 80916: On or about March 10, 2021, and at times prior, the employer did not perform initial monitoring to determine employee exposure to methylene chloride. Employees are exposed to methylene chloride while using Chemisphere Corporation PS-2P #345 paint stripper to remove epoxy paint from aircraft parts. Employees exposed to MC are at increased risk of developing cancer, adverse effects on the heart, central nervous system and liver, and skin or eye irritation.

29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(6)(ii): Except as provided in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(7) and 29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(8), the employer did not ensure that each container of hazardous chemicals in the workplace was labeled, tagged or marked with the product identifier and words, pictures, symbols, or combination thereof, which provide at least general information regarding the hazards of the chemicals and which, in conjunction with the other information immediately available to employees under the hazard communication program, would provide employees with the specific information regarding the physical and health hazards of the hazardous chemical: (a) 1777 Aviation Way, Colorado Springs, CO 80916: On or about March 10, 2021, and at times prior, the employer did not ensure that a 55 gallon barrel of acetone was labeled with general information regarding the hazards of the chemicals. Acetone exposure may cause irritation of the eyes, nose, throat; headache, dizziness, central nervous system depression; or dermatitis.
