29 CFR 1926.152(i)(6): In locations where flammable vapors could have been present, precautions were not taken to prevent ignition by eliminating or controlling sources of ignition: (a) Sunoco Gas Station, 6025 Carlisle Pike, Mechanicsburg Pennsylvania - Employees used a grinder to cut the top of a pipe for re-threading. The employer did not ensure that measures were taken to eliminate or control sources of ignition in areas were flammable vapors could be present, on or about March 19, 2021. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
