29 CFR  1910.147(c)(1):Energy control program. The employer shall establish a program consisting of energy control procedures, employee training and periodic inspections to ensure that before any employee performs any servicing or maintenance on a machine or equipment where the unexpected energizing, startup or release of stored energy could occur and cause injury, the machine or equipment shall be isolated from the energy source and rendered inoperative.  On or about March 26, 2021, employees of StoneRidge Kaukauna, LLC who were engaged in service and maintenance activities were not protection from accidental start-ups and energizations through the use of an Energy Control Program.

29 CFR  1910.303(g)(1)(ii):Working space required by this standard may not be used for storage. When normally enclosed live parts are exposed for inspection or servicing, the working space, if in a passageway or general open space, shall be suitably guarded.  On or about March 26, 2021, StoneRidge Kaukauna, LLC was using the space in front of electrical panels for the storage of product and other materials which would inhibit an employee's ability to access the panels in the event of an emergency.

29 CFR  1910.305(e)(1):Cabinets, cutout boxes, fittings, boxes, and panelboard enclosures. Cabinets, cutout boxes, fittings, boxes, and panelboard enclosures in damp or wet locations shall be installed so as to prevent moisture or water from entering and accumulating within the enclosures and shall be mounted so there is at least 6.35-mm (0.25-in.) airspace between the enclosure and the wall or other supporting surface. However, nonmetallic enclosures may be installed without the airspace on a concrete, masonry, tile, or similar surface. The enclosures shall be weatherproof in wet locations.  On or about March 26, 2021, employees were exposed to potential shock hazards when a hanging electrical box in the Meat Department was not installed so as to prevent the accumulation of water inside of the electrical box and outlets.
