OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1) The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to an amputation hazard: a.) East Building � On or about March 16, 2021, the operator of the Redford 43 shell core machine was exposed to a pinch point by unintentionally circumventing the protection of the two-hand cycle initiation device installed on the machine when changing a core box. Abatement Note: Feasible and acceptable means of abatement, among others, include requiring employees to change core boxes while in the automatic mode and protected by the two hand cycle initiation device installed on the core press.
