29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: At 21685 W 126th Terrace Olathe, KS 66062, Workers were not trained on the hazards associated with quick mix concrete and mortar. Employer did not provide training to educate their employees on the hazards related to these chemicals to ensure they practiced safe handling, wore appropriate PPE, and understood the chemical properties of this material. Concrete contains silica that is a known carcinogen that can cause lung cancer. and respiratory distress.
