29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: (a) Genham Diamond Tooling Systems at 1 Ponderosa Ct. Montrose, CO: On or before 4/6/21, the employer did not ensure that the Hardige HLVH manual lathe was equipped with a chip guard. This condition exposed employees to hot chips. (b) Genham Diamond Tooling Systems at 1 Ponderosa Ct. Montrose, CO: On or before 4/6/21, the employer did not ensure that the Nardini-TT 1030E manual lathe was equipped with a chip guard. This condition exposed employees to hot chips. (c) Genham Diamond Tooling Systems at 1 Ponderosa Ct. Montrose, CO: On or before 4/6/21, the employer did not ensure that the Alliant manual mill was equipped with a chip guard. This condition exposed employees to hot chips.
