29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): A). On or about 04/08/21, at the site of 29-28 215th Street. Bayside, NY Employees working on a residential pitch roof with a slope of 6 in 12 ratios approximately 20 feet above the ground level while installing roofing shingles were not protected from falling to the ground level. SERIOUS VIOLATION: C & G Metal Fabrication Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard or it's equivalent 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13) which was contained in OSHA Inspection No. 1522999, Citation #1, Item #1, issued on 04/29/2021 and the Final Order date on 05/26/2021.

29 CFR 1926.100(a):Employees working in areas where there is a possible danger of head injury from impact, or from falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns, shall be protected by protective helmets: A). On or about 04/08/21, at the site of 29-28 215th Street. Bayside, NY Employees working on the ground were in danger of head injury from falling objects such as, but not limited to tools and materials from other employees who install shingles on the roof. Protective helmets were not worn.
