29 CFR  1926.102(a)(1): Employees were not provided with eye and face protection equipment when machines or operations present potential eye or face injury from physical, chemical, or radiation agents:   The employer does not protect each employee from struck by hazards while performing framing activities on a residential home by providing eye and face protection while the employees are using air powered nail guns.  a) This most recently occurred on April 20, 2021, on SL 367 McGuinness, Streetsboro, Ohio 44241.  Employees are exposed the hazard of  being struck by flying objects , while using air powered nail guns during framing activities on a residential home.  Neal J. Weaver DBA Dutch Heritage Construction and Grand Valley Carpentry was previously cite for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926. 102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1414186, citation number 3, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 12/04/2019, with respect to a workplace located at 8475 Eden Court, Streetsboro, OH 44241.  Neal J. Weaver DBA Dutch Heritage Construction and Grand Valley Carpentry was previously cite for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926. 102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1352142, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 11/21/2018, with respect to a workplace located at SL 22 Salt Creek Run, Peninsula, OH 44264.  Neal J. Weaver DBA Dutch Heritage Construction and Grand Valley Carpentry was previously cite for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926. 102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1191183, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 12/13/2016, with respect to a workplace located at 508 Sheffield Ct. Aurora, OH 44202.  To abate the hazard in the future, the employer must ensure that its employees are protected from the hazard of being struck by while performing framing activities  using the air powered nail guns.   Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19 the employer must submit documents describing the steps it is taking to ensure compliance, including an explanation of how these steps protect its employees from fall hazards.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels are not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor are employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b).   The employer does not protect each employee from fall hazards while performing framing activities on a residential home with unprotected edges at heights of approximately 20 feet above a lower level by the use of guard rail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.   a) This most recently occurred on April 20, 2021, on SL 367 McGuinness, Streetsboro, Ohio 44241.  Employees are exposed the hazard of falling approximately 20 feet to the ground while involved in framing activities near the unprotected edges of the upper levels of the residential home.    Neal J.
