Subcontractor employee(s) were exposed to dust containing crystalline silica which was liberated when using a masonry saw to cut block during construction of a high school gymnasium. The employer failed to assess subcontractor worker exposure to airborne crystalline silica to include implementing engineering controls (use of water) and respiratory protection during dry cutting operations. Violation occurred on or about 05/06/2021.
