29 CFR  1910.36(d)(1):Employees must be able to open an exit route door from the inside at all times without keys, tools, or special knowledge. A device such as a panic bar that locks only from the outside is permitted on exit discharge doors.  a) On or about May 12, 2021, the exit door from the baking area had a broken screen door in front of the exit door that was hinged on the inside and was required to be pulled inwards prior to opening the exit door.

29 CFR  1910.37(a)(3): Exit routes must be free and unobstructed. No materials or equipment may be placed, either permanently or temporarily, within the exit route. The exit access must not go through a room that can be locked, such as a bathroom, to reach an exit or exit discharge, nor may it lead into a dead-end corridor. Stairs or a ramp must be provided where the exit route is not substantially level.  a) On or about May 12, 2021, the exit door from the baking area was obstructed by a screen door and a floor fan.

29 CFR  1910.212(a)(1):Types of guarding. One or more methods of machine guarding shall be provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks. Examples of guarding methods are-barrier guards, two-hand tripping devices, electronic safety devices, etc.  a) On or about May 12, 2021, the employer had not provided guarding on the Hobart mixing machines for machines such as but not limited to the Hobart Floor Mixer Model M-802 SN 1315307 and the Hobart Table Mixer tagged as Forest Hills School District T9002238. Employees were exposed to point of operation hazards from the mixing paddles while working on or near the machines.
