29 CFR OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees.  The employer is failing to protect employees on the jobsite from struck by hazards and injuries associated with ground personnel working near moving construction equipment.  The most recent occurrence of this was documented on or about May 20, 2021 at a commercial construction jobsite located at 5902 North 16 St., Omaha Nebraska.  Where a Bobcat compact skid steer loader, (Bobcat T750) owned by the employer, was being operated at a distance of approximately 15'-20' of ground personal that was washing out a ready mix truck chute when the skid steer backed up and struck him.  AMONG OTHER METHODS, FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE ABATEMENT METHODS TO CORRECT THIS HAZARD ARE:  	The employer may incorporate a pre-inspection procedure that includes ensuring all alarms (forward and back) are functional. 	The employer may incorporate the use of a ground spotter to provide over watch for the ground personnel while moving equipment is operating near by 	The employer may incorporate the use of physical barriers to provide protection for ground personnel from moving equipment. 	The employer may incorporate additional training for both ground personnel and equipment operators on struck-by hazards associated with this type of work         The employer may incorporate division of work schedule that separates ground personnel from moving equipment.
