29 CFR 1926.55(a)(2): An employee(s) was exposed to substance(s) with a permissible exposure limit not preceded by (C) at concentrations above that specified in Table 1 of �1926.55 for that substance(s): An employee was exposed to (carbon monoxide) in excess of the 8-hour time weighted average limits of (50 ppm) listed in Table 1: On or about May 21, 2021, employee(s) were exposed to carbon monoxide in excess of the permissible exposure limit. a). On or about May 21, 2021, a floor-polisher operator using the RMI Floor Grinder (S/N RMI1746) working in the break-room area was exposed to carbon monoxide at 146.1 ppm (TWA-8h) which is approximately 2.92 times the permissible exposure limit of 50 ppm. b). On or about May 21, 2021, a floor-polisher operator using the RMI Floor Grinder (S/N RMI1746) working in the break-room area was exposed to carbon monoxide at 138.1 ppm (TWA-8h) which is approximately 2.76 times the permissible exposure limit of 50 ppm.
