29 CFR  1926.1101(d)(5):All general contractors on a construction project which includes work covered by this standard shall be deemed to exercise general supervisory authority over the work covered by this standard, even though the general contractor is not qualified to serve as the asbestos "competent person" as defined by paragraph (b) of this section. As supervisor of the entire project, the general contractor shall ascertain whether the asbestos contractor is in compliance with this standard, and shall require such contractor to come into compliance with this standard when necessary.  a) 1225 McBride Ave Woodland Park, NJ 07424: Employees were exposed to asbestos during construction demolition. The employer failed to ascertain whether the asbestos contractor was in compliance with this standard, and did not require such contractor to come into compliance with this standard when necessary on or about May 18, 2021.

29 CFR  1926.1101(g)(8)(v)(D):Asbestos-containing material removed, shall be immediately bagged or wrapped, or kept wetted until transferred to a closed receptacle, no later than the end of the work shift.  a) 1225 McBride Ave Woodland Park, NJ 07424: Employees conducting demo work dropped a ceiling onto the an asbestos containing floor tile which became friable due to the ACM crumbling. Employees did not immediately bag, wrap, or keep the material wetted until it was transferred to a closed receptacle, no later than the end of the work shift on or about May 18, 2021.
