29 CFR  1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level shall be protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.   On or about May 28, 2021, employees were exposed to fall hazards approximately 27 feet high while engaged in HVAC installation on the roof of a commercial building.  Fall protection was not being utilized while performing HVAC installation.       No abatement certification or documentation required for this item.  Assurance Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1284514, citation 1, item 1(a), and was affirmed as a final order on June 7, 2018, with respect to a worksite located at 1300 Remington Rd., Suite M, Schaumburg, IL.
