29 CFR  1926.304(i)(1): The employer did not ensure that a circular hand-fed rip saw (table) was  guarded by a hood that completely enclosed that portion of the saw above the table and that portion of the saw above the material being cut.   Worksite: The employer did not ensure that the circular hand fed rip saw that was used by the employee to rip/cut wood trim was guarded with a hood that completely enclosed the portion of the saw above the table.    On or about 05/28/2021, an employee sustained severe injuries (amputations of the left ring and middle finger) while cutting a piece of wood trim with a portable table saw.

Worksite: The employer did not ensure that the employee who was required to use an unguarded saw to rip trim boards was trained to recognize the hazards associated with this type of saw.   On or about 05/28/2021, an employee sustained severe injuries (amputations of the left ring and middle finger) while cutting a piece of wood trim with a  portable table saw.
