The exit access must not go through a room that can be locked, such as a bathroom, to reach an exit or exit discharge, nor may it lead into a dead-end corridor. Stairs or a ramp must be provided where the exit route is not substantially level. a) 6 Willow St, Moonachie, NJ 07074: The employer failed to ensure exit routes must were free and unobstructed. The exit door was blocked by a pallet of automotive batteries which prevented employees from using the door to exit the building in the event of an emergency, on or about June 1, 2021.
