29 CFR 1910.303(b)(2):Installation and use. Listed or labeled equipment shall be installed and used in accordance with any instructions included in the listing or labeling. (a) Building 2 Cafeteria: An Emerson microwave was plugged into an APC surge protector. The UL listing states that relocatable power taps are designed for low amperage computer and audiovisual types of equipment, and not appliances. This exposes employees to possible electrical fire hazards.
