On or about June 10, 2021, on a residential construction site located on 6618 Redwing Ct. in Katy, TX, an employee was exposed to a fall hazard greater than 6 feet when performing roofing work on the roof of a one-story house without the use a fall protection system.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1):Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed. On or about June 10, 2021, on a residential construction site located on 6618 Redwing Ct. in Katy, TX, employees were exposed to a fall hazard when using an extension ladder to access a roof without extending the ladder side rails at least three feet above the roof landing.
