29 CFR 1926.502(b)(9): Top rails and midrails were not at least one-quarter (0.6 cm) nominal diameter or thickness to prevent cuts and lacerations. Wire rope used as top rails was not flagged at 6-foot (1.8 m) intervals or less with high-visibility materials. On or about June 11, 2021, CSHO observed employees' welding and housekeeping activities on the second and third levels of the building adjacent to areas where the top wire rope railing did not have proper flagging to identify it as the top rail.

29 CFR 1926.1052(b)(1): Foot traffic was not prohibited on stairways where the treads and/or landings of pan stairs were to be filled in with concrete or other material at a later date and stairs were not temporarily fitted with wood or other solid material at least to the top edge of each pan. Note: Not to be cited when the stairway is under construction or where the stairs have been fitted with wood or other solid material at least to the top of each pan. On or about July 11, 2021, on the south side of the construction site, the employees were utilizing "pan stair" cases that were not filled prior to use.
