1910.36(g)(2) An exit access must be at least 28 inches (71.1 cm) wide at all points. Where there is only one exit access leading to an exit or exit discharge, the width of the exit and exit discharge must be at least equal to the width of the exit access. In the following locations, aisles were not maintained to assure free and unobstructed access to exits: a. Plumbing supplies aisle. b. Flags and plumbing supplies Aisle. c. Cleaning Supply aisle d. The First alert aisle e. Light bulb aisle f. WD 40, Fans, and gas can aisle g. Dog toy aisle h. Drill bit and saw blade aisle i. Main exit path way (corrected) The Shop Rite Hardware & Paint Supply was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard (29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3)), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1505313, citation number 1, item number 1a and was affirmed as a final order on April 27, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 574 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield, CT 06109.
