29 CFR 1910.252(b)(2)(iii): Workers and other persons adjacent to the welding area were not required to wear appropriate goggles, to protect them from the rays when noncombustible or flameproof screens or shields were not used: (a) On or about 09/15/2021 - Sub Assembly Zone 4 near SAR 18/19 Station, employees were exposed to radiate energy hazards when working in close proximity to TIG welding operations that were performed where a welding shield or screen could be utilized and the employer did not require the employees to wear eyewear with the appropriate lens shade number.
