29 CFR  1910.147(c)(4)(i):Procedures were not developed, documented and utilized for the control of potentially hazardous energy when employees were engaged in activities covered by this section: Mechanic Street facility, Easthampton, MA:  On June 29, 2021 and at times prior, employees who performed maintenance and servicing tasks did not utilize existing energy control procedures to prevent employee exposure to hazards.  1. Maintenance technicians entered the fence-guarded belt/pulley area during operation to check the condensation tank and during machine lubrication employees only turned off, but did not isolate and lock out the machine. 2.  Employees who set up and threaded product onto the Pin Dryer machine did not utilize the existing energy control procedures.  On June 10, 2021, an employee who was setting up the PIN dryer machine received arm injuries when another employee energized the machine.
