29 CFR 1926.1052(c)(1)(ii):Stairways having four or more risers or rising more than 30 inches (76 cm), whichever is less, were not equipped with a stair rail system along each unprotected side or edge: a) 1414 Heatherwood Drive, Mount Joy, PA, Worksite - on or about June 30, 2021, employees were utilizing a nine riser stairway with two open sides that was not equipped with a stair rail system on each unprotected side. No abatement certification required.

29 CFR 1926.1060(a):The employer did not provide a training program for each employee using ladders and stairways, as necessary, which would enable each employee to recognize hazards related to ladders and stairways and train each employee in the procedures to be followed to minimize these hazards. a) 1414 Heatherwood Drive, Mount Joy, PA, Worksite - on or about June 30, employees performing plumbing work within a residential home project were using incomplete stair sets without receiving training and instruction related to ladders and stairways to assist with hazard avoidance. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
