29 CFR  1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area:  a) Fairmont City Pool:  On or about June 25, 2021 , an employee was not effectively trained on the hazards of mixing incompatible chemicals and the methods to prevent and protect from these hazards.  Employees refilled nearby pool chemical tanks containing 30 to 35% hydrochloric acid (muriatic acid) in one, and 12.5% bleach solution (sodium hypochlorite) in  another.  Mixing of these chemicals releases highly hazardous chlorine gas.  Note: Abatement documentation and certification is required for this item.
