29 CFR 1926.501(b)(2)(i): Each employee who was constructing a leading edge 6 feet or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: Note: If the employer could demonstrate that it was infeasible or created a greater hazard to use these systems, a fall protection plan meeting the requirements of paragraph (k) of 1926.502 should have been developed and implemented. a) The Lofts at Meridian, Building B: On or about July 14, 2021; employees installing metal coping along a parapet roofline were exposed to a 37-38 foot fall. A written fall protection plan was not developed for the project.
