OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees from crushing or struck by hazards when utilizing damaged safety latches on crane hooks:    a) Fabrication Area- On July 15, 2021, employees operating hoists, including the 3-ton Lodestar underhung hoist, to lift and move industrial pumps, motors, and equipment ranging from 100 to 1125 pounds using a hook that had a damaged safety latch.  No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.
