29 CFR  1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards. The program did not enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards.   a.) 46 Lincoln Ave., Northampton, MA: On or about and  at times prior to July 7, 2021 an employee and subcontractor employees performing roofing work on a residential dwelling  were  exposed to  fall hazards of 10-feet or greater to ground level and a training program was not provided for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards.  Specific abatement documentation that this violation has been corrected must be provided within 10 days of the abatement in accordance with 29CFR1903.19(d)(1).

29 CFR  1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system:  a.) 46 Lincoln Ave., Northampton, MA: On or about and at  times prior to July 7, 2021, an employee and subcontractor employees were performing roofing work on a residential dwelling and were exposed to fall hazards of 10-feet or greater to ground level and they were  not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest systems.  The Nextgen Construction Service, Inc.   was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard  29CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1342821, citation number 1, item number 1,a  and was affirmed as a final order on 09/28/2018, with respect to a workplace located at 20 Russel Rd. Westfield MA.  Specific abatement documentation that this violation has been corrected must be provided within 10 days of the abatement in accordance with 29CFR1903.19(d)(1).

The written certification record shall contain the name or other identity of the employee trained, the date(s) of the training, and the signature of the person who conducted the training or the signature of the employer.    a) 46 Lincoln Ave., Northampton, MA: On or about July 19, 2021, the employer did not verify that fall protection training had been completed for employees exposed to fall hazards while performing roofing work by preparing a certification record documenting that the training was conducted.    The Nextgen Construction Service,Inc.  was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard  29 CFR 1926 .503(b)(1)  which was contained in OSHA inspection number  1342821, citation number 1, item number 1b  and was affirmed as a final order on 09/28/2018, with respect to a  workplace located at  20 Russell Rd.,  Westfield, Ma.   Specific abatement documentation that this violation has been corrected must be provided within 10 days of the abatement in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d)(1).
