Employees working in this condition were exposed up to approximately 9.5 feet fall to the floor below.

29 CFR 1910.176(b): Material stored in tiers was not stacked, blocked, interlocked or limited in height so that it was stable and secure against sliding and collapse: a) SpartanNash on or about July 15, 2021, at the location of 4067 County Road 130 Bellefontaine, OH: The employer did not ensure that the product being stored on pallets on the second level of the flow rack system in the GMS area were stable and secure against sliding or becoming inadvertently displaced; therefore, exposing employees working in and around the flow rack system to struck by hazards from the stored pallets of the racking system.
