On or about July 27, 2021: The selection of work gloves was not comprehensive because it did not include gloves that were puncture-resistant. Employees' hands were exposed to puncture hazards from handling garbage mixed with needles.

29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips, and sparks: a) Behind the office area. On or about July 27, 2021: The tongue guard for the grinder was missing. Employees are exposed to flying chips of the grinding stone should it rupture during use.
