Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. a) GL. CONSTRUCTIONS, LLC, at a jobsite located at 205 Old Park West, Granville, Ohio 43023 : On and/or preceding July 27, 2021, the employer did not ensure employees were protected from falls while engaged in residential construction activities. The floor opening from the first floor to the basement was not fully guarded, thereby exposing employees to fall hazards of up to 11 feet. b) GL. CONSTRUCTIONS, LLC, at a jobsite located at 205 Old Park West, Granville, Ohio 43023 : On and/or preceding July 27, 2021, the employer did not ensure employees were protected from falls while engaged in residential construction activities. The program shall enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards. a) GL. CONSTRUCTIONS, LLC, at a jobsite located at 205 Old Park West, Granville, Ohio 43023: On and/or preceding July 27, 2021, the employer failed to ensure employees were trained on the recognition of fall hazards or the correct procedures required to be followed to minimize the fall hazards. The employees had not been trained the correct procedures to be followed to minimize fall hazards, thereby exposed to fall hazards of up to 11 feet.
