29 CFR 1910.213(c)(1): Circular handfed ripsaw(s) were not guarded by an automatically adjusting hood which fully enclosed that portion of the saw above the table and above the material being cut: (a) Elward Systems Corporation at 680 Harlan St. Lakewood, CO 80214: On or before 7/28/21, the employer did not protect employees from injury in that the guard assembly including a self-adjusting hood was not installed on the Rockwell Unisaw tablesaw model 5-66, serial number KR2018 while in use by employees. This condition exposed employees to amputation hazards. (b) Elward Systems Corporation at 680 Harlan St. Lakewood, CO 80214: On or before 7/28/21, the employer did not protect employees from injury in that the guard assembly including a spreader / riving knife was not installed on the Rockwell Unisaw tablesaw model 5-66, serial number KR2018 while in use by employees. This condition exposed employees to kickback hazards. (c) Elward Systems Corporation at 680 Harlan St. Lakewood, CO 80214: On or before 7/28/21, the employer did not protect employees from injury in that the guard assembly including non-kickback fingers or dogs were not installed on the Rockwell Unisaw tablesaw model 5-66, serial number KR2018 while in use by employees. This condition exposed employees to amputation hazards. Abatement Note: Abatement certification is required for this item. See enclosed "Certification of Corrective Actions Worksheet."
