1926.1207(a) The employer must provide training to each employee whose work is regulated by this standard, at no cost to the employee, and ensure that the employee possesses the understanding, knowledge, and skills necessary for the safe performance of the duties assigned under this standard. On July 24, 2021, at a worksite located at or near 7250 Reynolds Street, Omaha, Nebraska, the employer failed to provide adequate training to at least one of its employees whose work involved confined spaces and/or did not ensure that employee possessed an adequate understanding, knowledge, and skills necessary for the safe performance of his duties assigned related to a confined space.
