29 CFR 1910.1025(e)(1)(i): For any employees exposed to lead above the permissible exposure limit for more than 30 days per year the employer did not implement engineering and work practice controls (including administrative controls) were not implemented to reduce and maintain employee exposure to lead: On or about August 04, 2021, the employer's lead compliance program did not address evaluating engineering controls and administrative controls, i.e. employee rotation, to reduce employee exposures to lead on the Manual Pour Department that are exposed to lead above the Permissible Exposure Limit for more than 30 days per year. a) On November 16, 2021, an employee on the pour deck was exposed to 0.060 milligrams per cubic meter of lead, which is 1.2 times the permissible exposure limit. b) On November 16, 2021, an employee on manual pour line pour leaded molten metal was exposed to 0.142 milligrams per cubic meter of lead, which is 2.8 times the permissible exposure limit. c) On November 16, 2021, an employee on manual pour line pour leaded molten metal was exposed to 0.148 milligrams per cubic meter of lead, which is 2.9 times the permissible exposure limit.
