Location:23 Main Street Newark, NJ 07105  a) Employees exposed to struck by hazards; employees utilizing hand powered grinders, pneumatic nail guns and portable circular saws for siding operations without the use of eye protection on or about 8/16/21.

29 CFR  1926.451(g)(3):In addition to meeting the requirements of 1926.502(d), personal fall arrest systems used on scaffolds shall be attached by lanyard to a vertical lifeline, horizontal lifeline, or scaffold structural member. Vertical lifelines shall not be used when overhead components, such as overhead protection or additional platform levels, are part of a single-point or two-point adjustable suspension scaffold.  Location: 23 Main Street Newark, NJ 07105  a) Employee exposed to fall hazards while performing siding  operations on a pump jack scaffold approximately 40 feet that wasn't part of a complete fall arrest system. Hazard was observed on or about 8/16/21.

29 CFR  1926.451(h)(1):In addition to wearing hardhats each employee on a scaffold shall be provided with additional protection from falling hand tools, debris, and other small objects through the installation of toeboards, screens, or guardrail systems, or through the erection of debris nets, catch platforms, or canopy structures that contain or deflect the falling objects. When the falling objects are too large, heavy or massive to be contained or deflected by any of the above-listed measures, the employer shall place such potential falling objects away from the edge of the surface from which they could fall and shall secure those materials as necessary to prevent their falling.  Location: 23 Main Street Newark, NJ 07105  a) Employees on the ground level exposed to struck by hazards of unsecured tools and materials while siding operations were being conducted overhead on a pump jack with no toe boards. Hazard was observed on or about 8/16/21

29 CFR  1926.1052(c)(1):Stairways having four or more risers or rising more than 30 inches (76 cm), whichever is less, shall be equipped with at least one handrail and one stair rail system along each unprotected side or edge as specified in paragraphs (c)(1)(i)-(c)(1)(ii) of this section:  Location: 23 Main Street Newark, NJ 07105 - 3rd-5th floors  a) Employees exposed to fall hazards of approximately 6 feet while accessing a residential building to conduct siding operations with stairwells missing stair rails and hand rails. Hazard was observed on or about 8/16/21.
