29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Employees engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employees provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): a. Outside a Third Floor Window: An employee was performing framing work on a ledge, over twenty feet from ground level, without the use of fall protection. b. Inside House: There were floor openings the top of the two stair cases with drops approximately ten feet to the next level. There were no standard guard rails in place. c. Inside House: On the first floor there was a door opening to the basement level that did not have a guard rail to prevent an approximate eight foot fall to the concrete basement floor below.
