29 CFR 1910.30(a)(1): The employer did not provide training for each employee who is required to be trained as specified elsewhere in this subpart before any employee is exposed to a fall hazard: (a) 2526 Eaton Road, Wilmington, DE 19810: On or about August 19, 2021, the employer failed to train employees engaged in gutter cleaning activities in the recognition and avoidance of unsafe conditions related to worksite conditions posing a potential fall hazard. Abatement Note: Employees must be trained in at least the following topics: The nature of the fall hazards in the work area and how to recognize them; The procedures to be followed to minimize those hazards; The correct procedures for installing, inspecting, operating, maintaining, and disassembling the personal fall protection systems that the employee uses; and, The correct use of personal fall protection systems and equipment including, but not limited to, proper hook-up, anchoring, and tie-off techniques, and methods of equipment inspection and storage, as specified by the manufacturer.
