29 CFR  1926.501(b)(1):Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.  On or about August 18, 2021, employees were not protected from falls while performing commercial metal work. The employees were exposed to a fall hazard of more than six feet.

29 CFR  1926.1053(b)(1):Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed:  On or about August 18, 2021,  the portable ladder(s) used to access the technical center awning did not extend at least 3 feet above the landing surface. The employees were exposed to a fall hazard of more than six feet.
