29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1):The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE): a) Throughout Grocery Store - On or about August 24, 2021, the employer exposed employees to potential health hazards from virus, SARS-CoV-2 and corrosive chemicals, in that the employer failed to assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present and to select and mandate the use of personal protective equipment, such as but not limited to skin protection, eye protection, hand protection and respiratory protection for employees assisting the customers throughout the grocery store and using chemicals such as but not limited to Multi-Purpose Disinfectant Cleaner (corrosive - pH 13) and Retail Multi Surface & Glass Cleaner with Peroxide.
