29 CFR 1910.119(d)(3)(i)(B): The employer's piping and instrument diagrams were not accurate and did not represent equipment that was existing and was part of the process. (a) On or about September 23, 2021, the inspection of Acetone process piping in Building 51 identified that P&IDs did not reflect current the current equipment and piping configuration on the shell side of heat exchanger HX-0001. The P&IDs did not include the Pressure Relief Device installed on the shell side of HX-0001. The Kunkle Valve was set at 120 psi and a rated capacity of 23 gallons per minute. The P&ID did not show a relief device protecting the shell side of the heat exchanger. S.C. Johnson & Son, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1449404, citation number 2, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on June 22, 2020, with respect to the workplace located at 8311 16th St, Mt Pleasant, WI 53177.
