29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A): Flexible cords and/or cables were used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure: 2920 Meramec Street, St. Louis, MO 63118: Employer is exposing employees to hazardous conditions where the employees are permitted to operate electrical light equipment which uses a flexible cord as a substitute for fixed wiring. On and about 8/31/2021 employees used fixed pieces of electrical light equipment which were connected in series to another fixed electrical light equipment. The power cord of the first fixed piece of electrical light equipment was connected to the receptacle of a flexible cord which was attached to an outlet in the ceiling. The flexible cord was used as a substitute for fixed wiring of a structure.
