29 CFR 1910.176(b): The employer did not ensure that storage of materials did not create a hazard: a) 204 State Route 435, Elmhurst Township, PA: The employer did not ensure that storage of cement in bins that had corroded steel legs and structural components did not create an overload or buckling hazard, on or about September 2, 2021. Or in the alternative: OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were exposed to crushing hazards from cement bins used at the facility. a) 204 State Route 435, Elmhurst Township, PA: The steel columns, legs and structural members of the two cement bins were corroded and the employer did not effectively remediate the corrosion of the components which created overload or buckling hazards that resulted in the collapse of the bins, on or about September 2, 2021. ABATEMENT OBSERVED DURING INSPECTION - NO CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
